JOB SUMMARY
Reporting to the ENT and Audiology team lead, work with adults and elderly who have hearing loss and other auditory related disorders .
Audiologist's job scope includes, but it is not limited to:
- Performing of Audiology diagnostic assessment
- Provision of rehabilitative therapy for h ear ing disorders
- Promoting education and preventive care
Main Duties And Responsibilities- Clinical duties and competencies
- Perform clinical duties related to Audiology service
- Prescr i be and administer Audiolog i ca l tests with coordination of test results with other medical, educational, social and behavioural data to differentiate hearing dysfunction form from other conditions with simi l ar symptomatology
- Conducts rehabilitative programs with the hearing handicapped including counselling and guidance of th e hearing impaired and their families, prescription, eva l uation and fitting of hearing aids and auditory training
- Work within in a multidisciplinary team comprising Otologist, Audiologists, as well as other medical practitioner s, allied health professionals and stakeho l ders to provide coord i nated audiology serv i ces
- Provide preventive services and consultation in community c li nic se tting
- Administrative and o rgani sa tional responsibilities
- Assist with administrative duti es, such as documentation of department statistics and documentation
- Professional and academic contribution
- Assist to provide in-service program s to promote Audiological services in TTSH
- Assist to plan and administer training program for junior staff
- Assist to conduct in - service for medical st ud e nt s and junior doctors
- Participate in clinical studies a nd research in the relevant fi elds a nd ac r oss disciplines
Job Requirements
- Tertiary qualification in Audiology.
- 2 years of experience is preferred although it is not a prerequisite. Proficient in c omputer skills and MS office.
- Good problem solving, int er personal and communication skills.
