Automation Design Assistant Engineer

Job Scope :

- 2D drafting and other documentation.

- Assists Senior Engineer on the following :

• Technical assignments involving basic or applied research or the design and development of hardware products that includes CIP, upgrades, End Of Life (EOL).
• Includes design and evaluation of mechanical and/or electromechanical devices, components or systems.
• Develop, test and document designs for the transport mechanisms, vacuum systems and various process stations, including deposition chambers, substrate heating, cooling, cleaning, etc.

- Participate in the overall detailed product design.

- Participate in design review by providing mechanical design inputs relating to DFM and DFA, etc.

- Prepare and release 3D Solid Models and Engineering drawing while communicating to local vendors to expedite delivery of design parts and assemblies.

- Performs other related duties as assigned..

Requirements:

- Nitec / Diploma in Engineering or equivalent

- 2 - 3 years of relevant experience

- Proficient user of Solidworks

- Knowledge of Orcad

- Experience in Machine Design and familiarity in Design Processes

- Knowledge of ECO release of Engineering quality documentation

- Experience in dynamic electro-mechanical system design and high vacuum design will be an advantage
