Your responsibilities and tasks:
Min. 3-5 years working experience in Industrial Automation and service.
Design, development, modification, and implementation of automated systems within the GEA product portfolio.
Troubleshooting issues related to automation and providing support to the country and the region.
Key Responsibilities:
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand requirements and identify opportunities for automation.
Design and develop automated solutions for existing machines, integration of new machines.
Support Service and Project teams for issues related to automation of the existing and new installed base in Singapore and the region.
Provide remote support to internal and external customers.
Conduct site surveys/inspections and thus recommend upgrades and improvements in process.
Identify areas for process improvement and optimization through automation.
Monitor system performance, analyze data, and implement enhancements to maximize efficiency and reliability.
Stay updated with emerging technologies and best practices in automation engineering.
Maintain comprehensive documentation of automation designs, configurations, and procedures.
Communicate findings, recommendations, and project updates to stakeholders and management.
Ensure compliance with industry standards, regulations, and safety guidelines.
Conduct risk assessments and implement safety measures to mitigate potential hazards associated with automated systems.
Participate in audits and inspections to ensure adherence to quality and safety standards.
This role reports to the Service Execution Manager in Singapore.
Training and opportunities for continued development will be offered.Your profile and qualifications:
Qualification: Bachelors degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
Skills/Experiences/Personal Strengths
Proven experience in automation engineering, with a focus on designing, implementing, and maintaining automated systems.
Proficiency in Siemens Step-7, WinCC and TIA portal Programming and troubleshooting.
Strong understanding of control systems and industrial automation technologies.
Hands-on experience with automation tools, frameworks, and platforms.
Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Effective communication and collaboration abilities.
Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
Sound knowledge in Electrical and Instrumentation is preferred.
Experience with site work and customer interaction is essential.
