Industry: Financial Invesment Services
The Analyst will be responsible for overseeing and optimizing the business processes that support prime brokerage operations, listed derivatives, and OTC leveraged products (including SWAP, CFDs, and FX). The primary focus will be on analyzing, optimizing, and ensuring the efficiency of these operational workflows.
Responsibilities of this role are as follows:
- Lead and oversee the end-to-end execution of multiple projects related to back-office, prime brokerage operations and product improvements.
- Initiate and hold meetings with various stakeholders to comprehend functional objectives and gather detailed requirements while analyzing existing or proposing new workflows and processes for successful implementations.
- Ensure that business/sales/dealing desk requirements are well understood and documented for new products, services, and custom requirements.
- Create and maintain comprehensive project documentation that includes functional and technical specifications, test plans, data dictionaries, and user guides.
- Work closely with development and technology support teams to ensure that solutions are in alignment with user expectations and delivered within the agreed timelines.
- Assess the impact of requested changes, then work collaboratively with the development team to prioritize and implement system enhancements and resolve issues.
- Establish project governance standards and maintain consistent communication with stakeholders, while providing support to prime brokerage operations teams, including system troubleshooting and user training.
- Participate in audits and regulatory examinations as required.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of a Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field
- At least 7 years of hands-on experience in business analysis within Financial Services, Change Management, or related domains
- Demonstrated experience as a Functional Analyst in the financial services sector, with expertise in prime brokerage operations being highly desirable
- Over 7 years of experience in financial products and back-office processes, with a preference for Brokerage business experience
- Thorough knowledge of financial markets, trading workflows, and regulatory frameworks
- Proficiency in project management tools such as JIRA and Confluence, and experience in project management
- Strong track record of coordinating projects across various teams and functional areas
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to convey detailed information to development teams and users, as well as provide senior stakeholders with executive updates
- Proficient in data analysis and problem-solving, with the capability to identify trends and issues proactively
- Ability to work effectively in a high-pressure environment, ensuring timely and quality deliveries both independently and as part of a team
