About the Department
Established in 1986, UOB Asset management (UOBAM), a wholly-owned subsidiary of United Overseas Bank, is the Asian asset manager in the region with award-winning investment expertise across different asset classes.
UOBAM is headquartered in Singapore and has an extensive presence in Asia with regional business and investment offices in Malaysia, Thailand, Indonesia, Vietnam, Brunei, Taiwan and Japan. Our network also includes UOB Islamic Asset Management.
Job Responsibilities
Independently drive the investment process:
Perform holistic and comprehensive credit research analysis
Identify and recommend investment ideas in active engagement with portfolio managers
Generate ideas for overall team investment strategy
Suitable candidate may assist or be assigned with portfolio managing responsibilities
Depending on experience, candidate will be assigned sector coverage in Asia credits, especially TMT/Utilities/Infrastructure/Transport.
Job Requirements
Possess a recognized Bachelor's Degree in Finance/Accounting/Business Management or comparable professional qualifications.
7 years or more in credit analysis covering referenced credits in J.P. Morgan Asia Credit Index (JACI)
Possess strong numeracy and technical and analytical capabilities to identify and evaluate credit (fixed income) opportunities and risks.
Demonstrate sound knowledge of financial markets.
Demonstrate keen interest in keeping abreast of financial market developments, political and economic affairs.
Be a self-learner, motivated to achieve.
Be a team player with good interpersonal and communication skills in a dynamic environment
Proficient in Microsoft office, in particular, Microsoft Excel.
Programming skills in VBA, Python/R language and use business intelligence tools is an advantage
