Job Responsibilities
Contribute to the growth of SMBC's Transaction Banking business through the promotion of cash management solutions to Japanese corporate clients in APAC region.
Build and maintain relationship with Japanese corporate clients and anticipate their requirements through consultative selling to increase SMBC's wallet share.
Make periodical visits to assigned countries, visits clients, lead TB dialogues, and present solutions.
Interact with HQ in Japan and branches (RM and in-country sales), analyze TB opportunities, and strategize sales activities in collaboration.
Prepare presentation materials and proposals in both Japanese & English translation.
Internally coordinate with Product Development/Management for sharing client requirements/feedback and solutioning.
Submit reports (monthly reports, business trip reports, call reports, etc.)
Understand market trends / customer requirements and contribute to the bank's product development / improvements.
Job Requirements
Strong working experience in customer banking operations,systems and back-end operations
Able to collaborate effectively with large corporate customers, and internal IT/Operational departments
Familiarity with market trends and regulations in Asia regions
At least 5 years of working experience in Banking is essential
Ability to interact with customer across all levels - junior level to senior management.
Strong customer centric mindset
Analytical and creative in problem solving
Excellent proficient in English is required as part of external customer engagements and internal stakeholder management.
Japanese fluency is highly advantageous due to close collaboration and communications with HQ (Japan) stakeholders in Japan and discussion will be conducted in Japanese
Ability to spearhead projects/initiatives while working with various internal stakeholders.
Strong communication skills, proactive, team player, good inter-personal skills, etc.
