AVP - Tech Risk Analytics & Controls

Lico Resources, the specialist executive search firm, is partnering with a leading financial institution in their search for an AVP - Tech Risk Analytics & Controls specialist. The institution is committed to maintaining robust risk management practices and fostering a culture of continuous improvement through data-driven validation approaches.

The Role:

This position offers an exciting opportunity to join a dynamic team responsible for validating the effectiveness of operational and technology controls. The role combines analytical expertise with strategic insights to enhance the organisation's risk management capabilities.

Key Responsibilities:

• Execute risk-based validation programmes and assess the adequacy of controls related to cyber security, technology and operational risks
• Develop and implement comprehensive test procedures using data analytics to identify control improvements
• Conduct thorough assessments through interviews, evidence gathering, and analytical review
• Present findings and recommendations to senior management in formal committee settings
• Embrace technology and data analytics to enhance validation quality and efficiency
• Contribute to team effectiveness while managing individual deliverables
• Stay current with industry developments to continuously improve validation methods

Qualifications:

• Degree qualified with substantial experience in financial institutions
• Strong background in cybersecurity, IT/OPS auditing, or technology governance
• Proven expertise in data analytics and risk management
• Experience with SAP and Business Intelligence tools (Tableau, Power BI, Qlikview)
• Knowledge of programming languages (SQL, Python) would be advantageous
• Excellent organisational and report writing skills
• Strong communication and influencing abilities at senior management level
