Backend developer Charles River

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Software Engineer with strong hands-on experience in MSSQL and C#/.NET Core to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for enhancing the Charles River application to ensure compatibility with ongoing data changes driven by project migration. The ideal candidate should have experience in building data pipelines, utilizing REST APIs, and working with ETL/ELT technology stacks.

Key Responsibilities:

• Enhance the Charles River system for compatibility with evolving data changes due to project migration.
• Design, develop, and maintain scalable, high-performance software applications using C#/.NET Core.
• Build, integrate, and maintain REST APIs and work with gRPC protocols to facilitate communication between systems.
• Develop, optimize, and maintain ETL/ELT pipelines and workflows for data transformation and migration.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements, ensure software quality, and deliver timely solutions.
• Write clean, maintainable, and testable code while adhering to industry standards and best practices.

Required Skills:

• Hands-on experience in MSSQL: Strong expertise in database design, querying, optimization, and troubleshooting.
• Proficiency in C#/.NET Core: Extensive experience in back-end development, creating RESTful services, and high-performance systems.
• Experience with REST APIs and gRPC protocols: Demonstrated ability to work with API integrations and system communication protocols.
• Experience in building data pipelines: Proficiency in data transformation, ETL/ELT tools, and workflows.

Preferred Skills (Good to have):

• Knowledge and experience in PostgreSQL: Understanding of PostgreSQL database management and optimization.
• Experience with TDD (Test-Driven Development) and Test Automation: Strong grasp of writing unit tests, functional tests, and ensuring high test coverage.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
• 5+ years of hands-on experience in software development and database engineering.
• Proven experience working with large-scale data migration projects.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
