Responsibilities
- Follow existing recipes measure, weigh and prepare ingredients
- Bake different bread types, like sourdough, gluten free bread
- Mix various ingredients to create jams and fillings
- Monitor oven temperatures, speed settings, mixing machine and other baking equipment
- Ensure food surfaces and baking equipment meet all health and safety standards
- Clean kitchen equipment and tools before and after use
- Display bakery items and products on the shelves and counters
- Replenish and refill display counters with fresh stocks of bakery items
- Answer queries from customers and assist in making recommendations according to customers needs
- Assist with stock check and cashiering duties
- Basic housekeeping to ensure that store is clean and professional looking
Requires Skills and Qualifications:
- Experience as a Baker, Pastry Chef or similar role
- Experience with gluten free, refined sugar free and vegan baking a plus
- Understanding of food safety practices
- Familiarity with all professional kitchen equipment, including mixers, blenders and dough sheeters
- Excellent time-management skills
- Ability to remain calm and focused in a fast-paced environment
- Team spirit, with a customer-focused attitude
- Knowledge of sanitation procedures and food safety precautions and regulation
- Can work on Weekends & Public Holidays
- Salary range from SGD$2500-4000. Location @ Kim Chuan
