Bar ManagerAs Bar Manager, you will be responsible for all aspects of 1880s bar programme. The overall objective is to ensure that 1880s bar programme is the best in class globally.
This includes oversight of all bars, bar concepts, bar menus, development of events, P&L, budget and inventory management, supplier management, bar regulations and licensing, method and style of delivery of the service. Must be well versed in the Singapore Cocktail, Cafe and Restaurant scene.
You will be a leader of the bar team and be responsible for headcount management and budget, recruitment, training and development and setting KPIs and inspiring and leading the team.

- You will be accountable and responsible for all matters relating to bar and beverage.
You will plan, direct and oversee all bar operations including managing staff, ensuring produce and service standards are met and implementing and maintaining procedures for maximum operating efficiency.- Able to be creative and innovative to develop new bar concepts and menus.
Be at the forefront of new bar and menu concepts and trends. Work with Kitchen, Events and Membership team to develop new exciting events and programs.
- Able to understand and set staff schedules ensuring that the team is well staffed to deal with busy periods. Able to set standards and processes to ensure a high level of quality is maintained.
Able to work effectively across teams, working closely and supporting the kitchen, events and front of house and service teams to ensure that service is seamless.- Good communicator and able to influence and propose new ideas and concepts.
Must be a strong leader of people and able to manage, train and inspire a team.
- Able to recruit, train, and build a strong team, setting clear targets and goals. Able to assess and appraise staff to help their growth and development.
Maintain regular communication with staff and management through meetings and discussions- You will have the maturity to pre-empt, identify, diffuse and resolve conflicts with members and team.
Able to deal effectively and promptly with any member complaints.
- You will be a problem solver and able to think around issues and challenges.
You will be fully conversant with all Health & Safety processes and be current with relevant legislation regarding service of alcohol, sale of tobacco and licensing regulations.- You will actively promote safe work practices, investigate issues and accidents to prevent re-occurrence.
You will train your team on all safety and other processes.
- You will have an understanding of coffee & tea, calibration and non alcoholic beverages and find a way to make these appealing to members.
You will be fully in charge of bar stock count and costing.- This includes liaising with suppliers for the best price, maintaining a consistent COGS, and stock on hand.
