WHAT'S THE JOB
Under the general direction of the Chief Concierge, you will be an ambassador of the hotel who will offer our discerning guests with an unforgettable luxury experience ensuring the highest standard of service and professionalism at all times.
The Bell Captain supervises and ensure that colleagues are complying with company policies, standards and procedures related to guest's needs, comfort and satisfaction. The Bell Captain is responsible in acknowledging, welcomes and departs all guests/visitors arriving to/from the hotel, providing assistance with guests luggage. Ensuring all guest luggage is delivered to room / brought down from room and not left unattended. Thorough knowledge of all hotel services and amenities. Performs daily responsibilities to the hotel's standard. Performs the daily responsibilities of these positions and assists where necessary to ensure optimum service to guests/visitors.
Your day-to-day
- Adhere to all standards in accordance with the Brand Standards pertaining to welcoming and departing guests, baggage handling, delivery of items and newspapers, etc
- Provide information pertaining to all hotel services, local places of interests, restaurants, doctors, sightseeing tours and any other information likely to be of the interest to guests
- Ensure a welcoming sense of arrival and demonstrate a sincere farewell while also ensuring the lobby, driveway, and Concierge area's appearance reflect highly on the hotel and Company
- Trained on systems, security, and service and quality standards in accordance with the Brand Standards
- Maintains a willingness to please attitude and give undivided attention to any approaching guests
- Monitor and direct traffic activity of taxis, hotel limousines, guest vehicles etc to ensure smooth and efficient flow of traffic at the hotel driveway
- Actively develop positive and effective communication between Bell Service and all other operational departments and Ability to work as part of a diverse team with colleagues from different viewpoints, culture and countries
WHAT WE NEED FROM YOU
- Secondary school or equivalent, with 3 years experience in guest service or customer service, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Great communication skills. Must speak fluent English and local language with other additional languages preferred
- Computer literate (excel, word, office)
- Carrying or lifting items weighing up to 50 pounds
