Job Summary:
ONION Technology Pte Ltd (OT) is a software provider that specializes in Hyperscale data center solutions. It is the APAC regional headquarters of Onion Software Inc., which was founded in Korea. We are currently seeking a highly skilled Bilingual Software Engineer who is fluent in Korean and English, with experience in software development and the ability to liaise with the Korea HQ software development team. The ideal candidate should also be willing to travel up to 50% of the time.
Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and maintain software applications in C++ Builder
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and solve complex software problems
- Work with the Korea HQ software development team to ensure the software solutions meet the company's standards and requirements
- Participate in code and design reviews to ensure the software is scalable, reliable, and maintainable
- Write clear and concise technical documentation, including user manuals and software documentation
- Communicate effectively with clients and team members in both Korean and English
- Travel up to 50% of the time to meet with clients and team members across the APAC region.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in software development
- Fluent in Korean and English (both written and spoken)
- Proficient in C++ Builder
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented, collaborative environment
- Willingness to travel up to 50% of the time
Preferred:
- Experience with Agile software development methodologies
- Familiarity with software development best practices, including source control, testing, and continuous integration
- Experience with other programming languages and technologies such as Java, Python, or JavaScript
