Job Summary
This role will have extensive experience in designing, implementing, and maintaining complex broadcast and IT systems in a live television or broadcast environment.
Responsibilities:
Design and implement broadcast network and IT systems, including servers, switches, routers, firewalls, and storage solutions.
Manage and maintain network and IT systems to ensure optimal performance and reliability.
Collaborate with other teams to identify and resolve technical issues related to broadcast and IT systems.
Work with vendors to evaluate and select new technologies and equipment.
Develop and maintain documentation related to network and IT systems.
Provide technical training and support to staff as needed.
Requirement:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
Minimum of 8 years of experience in network and infrastructure engineering in a broadcast environment
Extensive knowledge of networking protocols, including TCP/IP, UDP, RTP, and SMPTE 2022
Expertise in managing and maintaining Cisco network equipment, including routers and switches.
Experience with broadcast technologies, including SDI, AES, and MADI.
Strong understanding of virtualization technologies, including VMware and Hyper-V.
Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
