Are you a Building Plan Checker, or Building Regulation Consultant with expertise in compliance and quality assurance for building projects If so, this could be your ideal role! We're looking for a skilled professional to oversee the regulatory and compliance aspects of projects in Australiaworking at the intersection of architecture, engineering, and project management.

In this unique role, you'll take on responsibilities similar to those of a Resident Technical Officer or resident engineer, ensuring building projects meet all relevant standards and regulations. If you have a sharp eye for detail and thrive in a dynamic, technical environment, we want to hear from you.

Responsibilities

• Assess architectural plans for compliance with applicable building codes and standards.
• Guide clients through changing regulatory requirements and provide compliance solutions.
• Conduct site inspections and prepare detailed reports, keeping clients updated on progress under the guidance of experienced staff.
• Work collaboratively in a supportive team focused on technical excellence.
• Supervise construction activities, ensuring adherence to approved plans, codes, and quality standards.
• Resolve technical and design issues in collaboration with architects, contractors, and designers.
• Prepare technical reports, provide progress updates, and participate in project meetings.
• Build and maintain strong professional relationships with stakeholders across diverse development projects.

Skills and Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Architecture, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
• In-depth understanding of construction standards, building codes, and compliance requirements.
• Excellent attention to detail
• Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks
• Strong communication skills and a commitment to customer service
• Ability to collaborate effectively with team members and clients
• Proficiency in MS Office with a quick aptitude for learning new systems.
• Excellent organizational abilities; able to work independently and meet multiple deadlines.
