Role Overview:
- Reporting to the Deputy CFO, this role will assist in driving financial strategy and delivering actionable financial insights to support strategic decision-making and business growth
- The ideal candidate will possess a strong analytical mindset, a deep understanding of financial metrics and a collaborative spirit to work across functions
Key Responsibilities:
- Strategic business partnering and collaborate with cross-functional teams to support business initiatives and optimise resource allocation
- Identify opportunities for ongoing improvements in business operations and provide strategic recommendations to boost profitability and enhance operational efficiency
- Lead cost management and productivity improvement initiatives to drive sustainable growth.
- Provide strategic financial analysis and insights to guide long-term business decisions, assess and mitigate financial risks
- Oversee the development and implementation of effective internal controls, including working with outsourced internal auditors
- Manage treasury-related activities such as analysis and monitoring of bank balances, monitoring of deposits and interests, minimise risk and establish strong relationships with banks
- Develop the company's resources and competency in the area of financial management
- Provide support and involve in ad hoc projects as and when required
Qualifications:
- Degree in Accounting/Finance, MBA/CPA/CFA or its equivalent
- At least 10 years of relevant experience in financial management or business controlling roles
- Strong business acumen with in-depth knowledge of financial modelling and performance analysis techniques
- Proven ability to communicate complex financial concepts to non-financial stakeholders, with excellent interpersonal and presentation skills
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a proactive approach to identifying opportunities for improvement
- Ability to collaborate effectively across teams, manage multiple priorities and drive organisation change
- Audit experience with BIG 4 will be an added advantage
- Prior experience in both public and private sectors will be an added advantage
- Able to work well in a fast-paced, fluid and dynamic environment
