About the Role:
Kerry APMEA (Asia Pacific, Middle East & Africa) has an exciting new opportunity for a Business Development Lead in the Enzymes area of our Taste & Nutrition business.
Reporting to the Business Development GM in region (and dotted line to the Global VP Enzymes), the BD Lead will be responsible for driving the profitable growth of a Foundational Technology Enzymes - across APMEA region, aligned to strategy of the relevant End Use Market (EUM) / Business Unit / Market. You will drive Pipeline growth by supporting Commercial teams to position the Foundational Technologies in a compelling manner, aligned with customer needs and mobilize cross-functional teams to drive pipeline conversion. You will collaborate with Global Product Managers to take the global portfolio and make it relevant to the EUM or Market strategies in region.
Key Responsibilities of Role:
Establish Kerry as a leader in Enzymes in the APMEA regionBuild and manage a team to:
Support the Kerry technical and end-use management teams in effectively positioning Enzyme technologies with customers in the region (especially within Bakery, Dairy and Beverage customers)
Deliver Enzyme budget and profitability targets
Ensure successful development of a project pipeline and conversion of opportunities in the region
Liaise with Central Technical and Regional Marketing teams to deliver market mapping / insights and go-to-market marketing materials
Identify market scale opportunities for Enzymes that can be elevated for consideration in our Innovation pipeline
Delivery of Enzyme training programmes internally and externally for the APMEA region as required
Represent Kerry as a leader in Enzymes within the region through participation in webinars, seminars, commercial events etc
Maintain and communicate a view on the competitive landscape
Work with Enzyme pillar team and regional supply chain teams to ensure the seamless delivery of Enzyme products within the region being the link between sales and the technology for demand planning to ensure supply
Work with central and regional Regulatory teams to ensure adequate support for enzymes in region, including registration, customer queries, product complaints are effectively managed
Ensure Enzymes portfolio is positioned successfully within sustainability targets for the region
The Person - Qualifications, Skills and Competencies::
Strong ability to work through multiple internal stakeholders in a matrix structure
Driven and highly motivated to support Commercial teams in winning new business
Displays a passion for the Enzymes category and has a keen interest in its impact on sustainability and helping our customers solve their problems
A minimum of 5 years of senior-level business development experience working within the Enzymes space (into Food & Beverage end-use-markets) with a strong technical knowledge and a high level of customer intimacy
Background qualifications in Business, Science or other related disciplines
The ideal candidate will have strong insights into the Enzymes market within Asia Pacific, Middle East and Africa
Strong ability to lead people through influencing skills
The ability to travel within the region as required
