Job Description
Led by the Head of Commercial, and reporting to the Senior Manager, we are seeking a dynamic BDM to join our commercial team in this exciting role. You will be responsible for developing and executing an agreed business development strategy targeted to deliver sustainable growth in sales revenue for your product portfolio. You will be driving growth across the executive education portfolio while also looking at opportunities to cross sell custom organisational learning solutions
- Detect and analyse opportunities, targeting suitable organisations to drive new business development that supports the overall organisational and sales strategy.
- Utilise your strategic expertise to identify and cultivate potential leads within targeted industries, geographies, and client segments.
- Curate an organised and shared network of active and potential relationships.
- Drive revenue and contribution to meeting divisional targets.
- Identify and develop new business within existing clients through established relationships while collaborating with other schools and business units across the university.
- Develop and maintain strategic stakeholder relationships with key decision-makers invested in the offerings of the executive education portfolio.
- Work with key strategic partners of ExD to foster sales opportunities.
- Establish and maintain strong business development protocols.
- Identify and foster suitable sales channels.
Qualifications
- Degree holder in Marketing and Business Management.
- Significant experience in senior business development professional services/consulting/education sectors.
- Ability to blend both hunting and farming approaches to achieve the right outcomes.
- Results oriented, with a track record in taking initiative, self-generating opportunities and closing opportunities.
- Demonstrated success in developing and executing business development strategies.
- Demonstrated strategic implementation skills with commercial acumen and a proven record of a consultative approach to B2B solution sales.
- Previous experience developing new opportunities and closing new business across multiple industry sectors will be highly regarded.
- Exceptional sales, presentation and negotiation skills.
- Ability to build client relationships strategically, developing senior-level relationships for mutually beneficial long-term benefit.
- Proven ability to manage multiple internal stakeholders.
- Team player who builds internal peer and stakeholder relationships to meet organisational outcomes.
- Proven experience and knowledge of CRM systems and PowerPoint, ability to produce effective presentations.
