Job Description

An opportunity to work beyond transactional sales and to be in a more consultative sales role to match IDC products/services suites in solving complex solutions for our customers. This role is suited for individuals who are creative and are good at problem solving and looking at solution suites, piecing them together and providing bespoke solutions to cater very specifically to customer nuances.

Role and Responsibilities:

  • Quota bearing role identifying opportunities and bringing them to close to achieve sales quotas
  • Sales forecasting expected to provide accurate and timely sales forecasting reports on a weekly/monthly/quarterly basis
  • Hunting expected to not just service assigned territory but to also identify greenfield accounts
  • Business Development to attend events, meetings and interact with existing and new customers in attempts to identify opportunities.
  • Consultative selling creating proposals to match customer requirements

Qualifications:

  • Minimum 5 years working experience in Business Development (preferred) or Sales role in research, consulting or tech companies.
  • Good writing skills, creative thinker, problem solver, works well in a team environment, communicator and story-teller
  • Must have powerpoint/excel/Salesforce(SFDC) knowledge.
