Business Development Manager
This is a new opportunity to join a leading SaaS company that works with government departments, agencies & the biggest brands across APAC, enabling them to understand what drives their customers.
As a Business Development Manager, you'll take charge of acquiring new business through the application of effective sales techniques. You'll be expected to develop and sustain awareness regarding the companys products and services, as well as negotiate and close business contracts.
Other responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Executing strategic plans to meet and exceed growth sales targets.
Maintaining a healthy sales pipeline at all times by continually engaging new clients.
Setting the right expectations for clients and facilitating service trials if necessary.
Preparing and presenting written proposals and price quotations, making sure that all products and services are given equal sales attention.
Closing deals at appropriate price levels and completing all accreditation requirements imposed by the clients before hand-over to the account management team.
Assisting the account management team with initial client education and service information upon turnover if necessary.
Maintaining high standards in terms of personal sales discipline, work ethic and professionalism
Ensuring compliance with company policies and standards, and all local statutory requirements.
Requirements
A degree in media, communications, advertising, marketing or business.
Must have at least 5 years experience in sales, preferably in a B2B SaaS environment, corporate sales experience and knowledge of the market, current media issues, competitor behaviour and strategy. Exposure to marketing is also deemed desirable.
Excellent verbal and written English communication skills; ability to communicate effectively at all levels of the organisation and with external parties to senior executive levels. Ability to speak in Chinese (Cantonese/Mandarin) or other local languages will be an added advantage.
Eager, tenacious, articulate, diplomatic, high energy, competitive and driven. Proven capability in hands-on problem solving, with the ability to generate ideas and solutions. Has a genuine interest in mass information, digital/traditional media and current events.
Microsoft office and G-suite competence, and has an understanding of various social media platforms.
