We are seeking a dynamic Business Development Manager to focus on expanding our Japanese clients in Singapore. The Business Development Manager will be responsible for driving business growth by developing new relationships with Japanese companies.
This role requires a strategic thinker with some understanding of employee benefits and a passion for connecting with Japanese clients to offer Employee Benefits solutions that meet their needs.
Key Responsibilities
- Market Research & Strategy: To identify opportunities, and potential clients within the Japanese business community in Singapore.
- Lead Generation: Develop and maintain a pipeline of qualified prospects through networking, referrals, cold calling, and other channels.
- Networking: Represent the company at industry events and networking functions to enhance brand visibility and generate new business opportunities within Japanese business community.
- Solution Presentation: Support presentation of customized employee benefits solutions to prospective clients, articulating the value propositions clearly and effectively.
- Client Engagement: Build and nurture relationships with key decision-makers in Japanese companies, understanding their unique needs and challenges related to their employee benefits.
- Internal Collaboration: Work closely with internal teams member for quotation generation, communicating requirements to ensure that client expectations are met and/or exceeded.
- Reporting: Prepare and present regular sales pipeline, engagement plan and market analysis to the management team.
- Sales Process Management: Manage the entire sales cycle from lead generation to contract negotiation and closing, ensuring a seamless client experience
Requirements
- Language Skills: Fluent in both Japanese and English (spoken and written) to effectively communicate with Japanese clients and internal teams.
- Experience: Minimum of 2 years of experience in business development, sales, or account management, preferably in the employee benefits, insurance, or financial services industry.
- Knowledge: Understanding of employee benefits products and services, including insurance plans, wellness programs, and corporate solutions.
- Cultural Awareness: Familiarity with Japanese business culture and practices to build strong client relationships.
- Communication Skills: Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to present complex solutions clearly and persuasively.
- Self-motivated: Proactive, goal-oriented, and able to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Team Player: Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams to achieve business objectives.
- Education: A degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Finance, or a related field is preferred.
