Job Profile Summary
We are looking for a committed, energetic, highly organised and delivery-oriented Business Manager to support the Head of Transaction Services APAC.
As TS APAC Business Manager, you will be responsible for the management and oversight of a wide range of activities, including financial data analysis and control, non-financial risk, and execution of the TS APAC change programme including managing and overseeing regional initiatives. In addition to that, you will support the Head of TS APAC by drafting key communications and presentations, keeping track of deadlines and deliverables, and working in close alignment with senior leadership teams within and outside the TS domain. You will be a core member of the TS APAC Management Team (MT) and will report hierarchically to the Head of TS APAC and functionally to the Business Manager, TS Global.
ING's Transaction Services (TS) business within the Wholesale Bank (WB) offers a complete suite of Trade products, including Working Capital Solutions and Trade Finance Services, as well as Payments & Cash Management and Liquidity Management products and solutions to Corporate and Financial Institution clients.
Job Responsibilities:
The Business Manager (BM) provides operational support to the Head of TS (APAC) as well as working closely with the other members of the TS MT and TS APAC business heads in the discharge of their responsibilities.
The role will focus on a few key areas:
Strategy and Regional Initiatives
Co-design/develop, with the Head of TS APAC and other members of the Asia TS MT, the strategic roadmap and implement the same by ensuring that:
Measurable and manageable strategic objectives are set.
A plan is developed that will ensure the successful delivery of the desired outcomes.
There is clear ownership and accountability for the various deliverables throughout the lifecycle of the related initiative, with structured checkpoints to monitor progress.
Act as a key interface with relevant stakeholders within and outside the TS organisation to ensure progress on delivering against such initiatives.
Provide frequent progress reports to the Head of TS APAC and other stakeholders on the delivery of each initiative.
Partner with Front Office teams to drive efficiency, automation and collaboration across TS APAC.
People
Work closely with the APAC HR Business Partner to ensure that the people plan is fully aligned with, and directly supports, the successful delivery of the strategic people action plan for the business. This includes:
Ensuring the commercial rationale underpinning any proposed people changes/ additions is clearly articulated and is sufficiently robust.
Collaborating on talent management, learning and development and performance and rewards.
Shape, and monitor delivery against, the annual KPI framework for the business, ensuring alignment with the overall WB APAC/TS strategic agenda.
Business Performance, Financial Planning & Control
Collaborate with the Finance Business Partners to develop and deliver a suite of business performance metrics that provide the Head of TS APAC and the regional TS MT with both timely and informative insights that support them in the day-to-day management of the business.
Support the business lines with the development of their dynamic plans and ensure the rolling forecasts accurately reflect anticipated outcomes for the reporting period.
Explore options for the development of a TS-wide business pipeline process.
Governance and Non-Financial Risk (NFR)
Actively participate in all relevant Risk and Control Self-Assessments (RCSA), as well as contribute to gap analysis exercises related to the implementation of new / amended policies and control standards.
Develop, deliver, and improve NFR performance management metrics.
Ensure all Audit and other agreed action (such as Issue and Event management) are tracked and completed on time.
Risk / Control / Conduct / Regulatory
Oversee the governance process for operational risks and controls within TS, providing guidance and support to the individual business lines to ensure that they have effective management of their risk and control environment.
Work with key internal partners on the interpretation and implementation of all regulatory changes impacting the business.
Work with Product heads on local Business Manual updates and PARP approval processes.
Internal Communication
Shape the internal messaging on the strategic roadmap design and delivery.
Produce regular, but concise, presentations and bulletins targeted at internal stakeholders and staff, ensuring that the TS story is presented in a consistent and purposeful manner.
Manage communication on behalf of the head of TS APAC and where appropriate, liaise with Corporate Communications.
Prepare internal presentations and briefings and conduct ad hoc analyses on a diverse range of topics where required.

Qualification/Education
Essential
Minimum 7 years of relevant working experience.
Minimum BA/BS in business administration, finance or relevant field. Alternatively, can show strong analytical skills from another discipline.
Experience/Knowledge
Essential:
Experience working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. Affinity with Wholesale banking with some working understanding of TS would be beneficial.
Demonstrated strong competence with PowerPoint, Excel and SharePoint.
Desirable:
Experience in interpreting and implementing policies, control standards procedures, and controls.
Track record of utilising Power BI to simplify / improve reporting processes.
