About Trust and Safety
Building a world where people can safely discover, create and connect. The Trust & Safety (T&S) team at TikTok helps ensure that our global online community is safe and empowered to create and enjoy content across all of our applications. We have invested heavily in human and machine-based moderation to remove harmful content quickly and often before it reaches our general community.
It is possible that this role will be exposed to harmful content as part of the core role/as part of project/ in response to escalation requests/by chance.
This may occur in the form of images, video, and text related to every-day life, but it can also include (but is not limited to) bullying; hate speech; child safety; depictions of harm to self and others, and harm to animals.
About the team
Business Operations is responsible for business management within T&S Operations through developing strategies related to cost, culture and collaboration. We formulate and drive strategic roadmaps and implement projects and initiatives across the T&S Operations ecosystem.
Responsibilities
As a Program Manager in our Business Operations team, your primary responsibility will be to manage the cost efficiency and optimisation programs within Trust & Safety (T&S) Operations. You will be accountable for cost related metrics, target setting and driving relevant initiatives to meet them. You will be providing data-driven insights to influence the decisions of cross-functional leaders to drive better cost optimisations amidst other competing priorities. You will also work with key cross functional teams to continuously improve the cost management processes.
- Specifically, this program manager will be expected to:
- Develop relevant KPIs, track and manage cost efficiency, report on performance against these KPIs and identify opportunity areas.
- Conduct data analysis and translate data insights into business recommendations.
- Develop a strong understanding of the operations and the interrelationships of various T&S North Star metrics, so as to provide a sound recommendation from a cost perspective.
- Prepare high quality cost reports and deliver presentations tailored to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Lead projects and programs to optimise costs within Trust and Safety Operations, working closely with cross-functional teams to identify areas for cost reduction, efficiency, and optimal resource allocation.
- Drive process improvements to improve cost management, such as automating dashboards and developing new tools, revamp the budgeting process, etc.
- Lead strategic planning sessions and develop implementation roadmaps jointly with cross-functional stakeholders.
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree, or equivalent, in Finance, Accounting, Statistics, Data Science, or equivalent practical experience.
- At least 5 years experience in driving operations cost efficiency, preferably for large-scale operations.
- Strong analytical skills and strategic thinking, with a keen sense of responsibility for data integrity.
- Experience managing large-scale, complex projects including change management execution.
Preferred Qualifications
- Excellent skills in verbal and written communication across both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Strong stakeholder management skills and able to influence without authority.
- Experience working in a matrix organization with the ability to manage stakeholders across functions, countries and levels of management.
- Ability to work independently and exercise maturity in handling sensitive data, with a preferred background in Trust and Safety.
