Job Description

Job Summary

The Business Systems Analyst is responsible for the gathering and analysis of business requirements that enhance overall business operations, communication, and workflow efficiencies. This role focuses on production support for Oracle ERP Cloud - Financials modules and serves as a liaison between business users and technical teams, ensuring clear communication and smooth coordination. This role will be required to support other Financial Applications (which may include Expense management system, Kyriba, Yardi etc) as part of this function.

This role also involves close collaboration with the Greystar India Manager or other project resources (India, Europe and the US) in the development, testing, and implementation of solutions, coordinating efforts between internal teams and external contractors to ensure successful project delivery and delivering measurable outcomes for the APAC Region.

To succeed, the candidate should have a proven track record in business analysis, particularly in delivering process improvements, business requirements, and use cases. Strong experience with Agile Scrum methodologies, use case development, and business rules is essential.

Essential Responsibilities

  • Lead requirement-gathering sessions and ensure documentation of functional specifications.
  • Act as a liaison between business stakeholders and technical teams, facilitating clear communication and solution alignment.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to manage and deliver projects on time, coordinating development, testing, and implementation.
  • Provide production support for financial systems, identifying and resolving issues through root cause analysis (RCA) working with Greystar India Global Capability Center.
  • Lightweight configuration of Oracle ERP Cloud to align with business needs.
  • Develop and track project plans, ensuring stakeholder alignment and transparency.
  • Write and maintain key project documentation, including Business Requirement Documents (BRDs).
  • Utilize tools such as Microsoft product suite and JIRA for project tracking and documentation.

Essential Skills & Experience

  • Experience working with business systems in roles like system administration, analytical positions, or in systems implementation, project management, or support.
  • Experience working with stakeholders from different countries
  • Strong facilitation and interpersonal skills: Ability to mediate discussions, lead requirements workshops, and drive decision-making.
  • Analytical and problem-solving expertise: Ability to identify issues, assess options, and recommend solutions.
  • Excellent communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Business process expertise: Strong understanding of financial systems and processes, especially in an Oracle ERP Cloud environment.
  • Demonstrated willingness to be flexible and adaptable to changing priorities.

About You

Basic Qualifications

  • Degree in Finance, IT, or a related field.

Technical Qualifications

A. Core Technical Skills

  1. Extensive experience with Oracle ERP Cloud (R13), particularly in Financials modules or Oracle E-Business Suite Financial Applications.
  2. Preferred: Hands-on experience in configuring ERP systems to meet business requirements.
  3. Desirable: Hands-on experience in Yardi 7s.
  4. Desirable: Anaplan budget software.

B. Additional Skills

  1. Proven ability to design, optimize, and integrate business processes with technology solutions.
  2. Experience managing large, cross-functional projects, with a focus on financial systems and process redesign.
  3. Agile Scrum experience: Familiarity with Agile methodologies, including use case modeling and business rules.
  4. Strong organizational skills with the ability to handle multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously.
  5. Financial/accounting knowledge, with strong written and verbal communication skills.
  6. Ability to converse in Mandarin or Japanese would be advantageous to work with the teams in China and Japan
