What You'll Do
- Install high voltage, low voltage and auxiliary cable (pilot) joints including cable terminations
- Cable spiking, cutting, sealing and connecting generator power and auxiliary cables
- Carry out site competency assessments of contract cable jointers
- Assist in investigation of high voltage cable joint failures
- Assist in the trial of new cable jointing materials and jointing tools
- Carry out cable jointing and termination for fault/damage repair work
- Carry out repair of faulty auxiliary cables (pilot cable)
- Attach to experienced cable jointer's work sites as part of skill, knowledge and career advancement
What You'll Need
- Higher NITEC / NITEC in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering
- 1 to 2 years of relevant experience
