Responsibilities:
-Work closely with the sales team to generate local catering and meeting leads with close follow-up and monitoring of leads leading to conversion.
-Maintain a high level of product and service knowledge in order to be able to explain and sell services to clients.
-Develop and implement marketing activities to bring in new customers.
-Maximize revenue by up-selling packages and creative food and beverage.
-Stay updated on industry trends, customer behaviour, and competitor activities. Analyse market data to identify opportunities and provide recommendations for improving marketing strategies.
-Verify events arrangement with the clients and ensure that information is thoroughly cascaded and shared with the Operations team.
-Solicit for new accounts from existing or/ and new market segments to enlarge business opportunities.
-Keep good relations with customers for repeat business.
-Participate in networking events within the hotel, the industry and customer organisations as necessary
-Develop and promote festive and seasonal events.
-Respond to telephone/online catering sales enquiries.
-Copywrite, edit and proof-read marketing materials in both English and/or Mandarin.
-Handle feedback and resolve complaints from guests.
-Build rapport and effectively qualifies each business opportunity.
-Content creation for social media platforms such as Facebook, Instagram, YouTube.
-Photography cum videography required if needed, followed by photo/video editing/production.
-Use design software (e.g. Adobe Illustrator, Canva) to produce high-quality graphics and layouts.
-Design and produce motion graphics and animations for social media.
-Work closely with the delivery platform partners and operations team to ensure smooth and timely execution of campaigns.
-Coordinate with external vendors, to ensure accurate production of design work.
Requirements:
Diploma/Degree in Business, Marketing or Hospitality management or related disciplines
Min 2-3 years of relevant Catering Sales experience / Event Sales industry.
Self-discipline, proactive and have strong sense of urgency.
Must be self-driven, dynamic, meticulous, creative and sales oriented.
Proficient in Microsoft Office applications and design software.
