Your primary role is to support the CDCs to onboard heartland merchants and hawkers onto the CDC Vouchers Scheme. Under this national initiative, you will work closely with the merchants and hawkers, handling their queries and assist to troubleshoot technical/ operational issues. You will also handle other initiatives under CDC Vouchers Scheme.
- Support the Community Development Councils (CDCs) and Community Centres/Clubs (CCs) to engage and outreach to heartland merchants and hawkers.
- Guide and encourage merchants and hawkers to sign up for the CDCs scheme and encourage them to share the Scheme on their social media.
- Equip merchants and hawkers with the necessary knowledge and skillsets during the onboarding process for the scheme.
- Perform simple troubleshooting on IT devices for merchants, hawkers and residents.
- Serve as liaison for CDCs merchants, hawkers and residents to handle scheme-related enquiries and feedback.
- Gather data and human interest stories from merchants, hawkers, and residents through engagements, surveys for reporting and analysis purpose.
- Work closely with other government agencies and community partners such as merchants / hawkers associations etc.
- Other ad-hoc duties not covered under main responsibilities and duties.
Knowledge and Skills
- Good interpersonal communication skills and able to handle hawker/merchant and resident enquiries with basic knowledge on use of smart phones and e-payments.
- Multilingual or ability to speak dialect(s) is an advantage
- Proactive, persuasive and resourceful
- Physically fit to handle engagement work outdoors and able to work on evenings, weekends and public holidays, when required
- Passionate about contributing to and supporting local heartland hawkers/merchants and non-tech savvy residents
- Able to work independently to meet the targets for the scheme
- Team Player who possess strong relationship skills
