New Life Community Services (NLCS) is a not-for-profit social service agency that seeks to bring hope and purpose to children, youths, and seniors so that they go on to create a positive impact in the community and society.
The Centre Manager (CM) primarily reports to the Head of Silver Care, and CM's main role is to manage the Silver Care centres.
Roles and Responsibilities:
Organisational Values & Compliance
- Uphold and promote NLCS policies, mission, and values in all aspects of Centre operations, ensuring alignment with organisational objectives.
Programme & Service Management
- Lead the design and delivery of the Centre's core programmes, including Active Ageing, Befriending, Referral services, and Outreach initiatives to meet community needs.
Community Partnerships & Outreach
- Cultivate and maintain strategic relationships with community partners to establish service linkages and extend the Centre's support network.
Volunteer Management
- Oversee volunteer recruitment, training, and matching processes, connecting volunteers with seniors in need of befriending, and activity support.
- Implement best practices in volunteer management to ensure quality experiences and positive impacts for both volunteers and clients.
- Empower active seniors to volunteer and support other vulnerable seniors through meaningful engagement in these programmes.
Staff Development & Supervision
- Manage staffing, including manpower planning, performance evaluations, and required training, while fostering a supportive environment that encourages mentorship and professional growth.
Mandatory Compliance & Safety Standards
- Ensure full compliance with health, safety, and regulatory standards, including the implementation of emergency preparedness plans and regular safety audits to safeguard the well-being of all.
Data Management & Reporting
- Maintain accurate data collection on clients and programmes, adhering to data protection policies.
- Prepare monthly reports for the management and statutory board accurately and timely.
Policy Development & Quality Improvement
- Contribute to the development and enforcement of policies, procedures, and standards that enhance programme quality and promote healthy aging.
- Lead initiatives to improve Centre systems, operational processes, and risk management practices.
Strategic Leadership & Operations
- Support strategic planning and operations for the Active Aging Centre, ensuring alignment with organisational goals and community needs.
- Contribute to the annual strategic plan, budget proposals, and reporting processes to guide and strengthen Centre performance.
Requirements:
. Minimum 3 to 5 years of relevant experience.
. Passionate about working with seniors and volunteers.
. Team player with strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational abilities.
