Position Overview
We are seeking an accomplished Chief Financial Officer to join our executive team and play a key role in scaling StyleDoubler to new heights. The CFO will oversee all financial operations across four Southeast Asian countries (Indonesia, Thailand, the Philippines, and Vietnam), working through lean, locally based teams and outsourcing where needed. Proficiency in English is essential. This role requires strategic financial leadership, a track record in scaling startups, and a proactive approach to navigating financial complexities in a high-growth environment. The CFO will be responsible for setting financial strategy, driving financial performance, and fostering relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
- Financial Strategy and Planning: Develop and implement financial strategies aligned with StyleDoubler's goals, supporting both short- and long-term growth.
- Operational Finance Leadership: Lead budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting processes to drive effective decision-making.
- Capital and Fundraising Management: Oversee capital allocation, manage fundraising efforts, and engage with investors, securing resources to support strategic objectives.
- Financial Compliance and Risk Management: Ensure full compliance with financial regulations and standards, implementing effective internal controls.
- Team Development: Build, mentor, and manage a high-performing finance team across regions, promoting continuous development and collaboration.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with the CEO and executive team to align financial goals with broader company objectives, supporting departments such as marketing, business development, and operations.
Qualifications
- Education and Experience: Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or a related field; MBA or CPA preferred.
- Proven Experience: 10+ years in financial management, with experience as a CFO or senior financial executive in a startup or high-growth environment.
- Expertise in Financial Planning and Analysis: Strong background in budgeting, forecasting, and capital allocation.
- Investor Relations and Fundraising Experience: Demonstrated ability to manage investor relations and lead capital-raising activities.
- Analytical and Strategic Mindset: Ability to interpret complex data and translate it into actionable strategies, with a focus on driving value.
- Strong Leadership and Communication Skills: Proven track record of leading finance teams and working cross-functionally with other departments.
- Language Proficiency: Fluent in English to facilitate communication across markets.
