Society for the Aged Sick (SAS) is a 407-bedded charitable nursing home situated at 130 Hougang Avenue 1, Singapore
- Established in 1968, it serves elderly from less privileged backgrounds, who have chronic illnesses and/or disabilities in need of round-the-clock care.
The CEO is responsible for driving the direction the SAS takes, overseeing growth plans and overall performance of the Society. He/she is accountable to the board of directors and is the public face of the organization.
The CEOs duties and responsibilities include:
- Strategic Leadership:
Develop and implement the SAS vision and overall direction.
- Formulate and execute strategic plans to advance the SAS mission and objectives.
Oversee overall operations to ensure efficiency, quality, service, and cost-effective management of resources.- Maintain in-depth knowledge of the industry in which SAS operates.
Develop annual budgets and ensure SAS meets its financial goals.- Ensure the organization remains financially viable, making necessary financial decisions to strengthen financial sustainability of the Home.
Identify and manage financial risks and opportunities for the Home.
Lead and manage SAS senior executives to ensure alignment with SAS goals.
- Monitor SAS performance and implement improvements.
Ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.
- Media and Public Relations
Serve as SAS primary spokesperson.- Act as the figurative head of the organization when communicating with stakeholders, government entities and the general public.
Actively promote the awareness and publicity of SAS.
- Fundraising and Partnerships
Build and maintain strong relationships, as well as forge partnerships with stakeholders, government entities and the general public in furtherance of the SAS cause.
- Identify and spearhead fundraising initiatives to ensure continuity and adequacy of the donation income stream.
Report to the Board of Directors on a regular basis, providing timely and accurate information regarding the Homes performance.
- Work closely with the Board to develop policies and strategic plans.
Serve as a liaison between the Board and the Homes management.
Minimally a Bachelors Degree in any field- At least 10 years of experience in senior leadership
Proven track record in strategic planning, financial management, fundraising, public relations and communications.
- Must be able to pay keen attention to details
Good problem-solving and analytical skills- Ability to coordinate the affairs and operations of an organization
Ability to motivate and lead staff
- Prior experience in similar industry will be advantageous.
