Mission
The Chief Product Officer (CPO) orchestrates the company's product strategy, aligning product development with business objectives and market demands. This role involves spearheading innovation, ensuring products are customer-centric, and differentiating offerings in the competitive landscape. By fostering collaboration across departments, the CPO ensures a unified approach to product launches and lifecycle management, emphasizing the importance of a cohesive go-to-market strategy.
Additionally, the CPO is responsible for cultivating a high-performing product, product design and engineering team, encouraging a culture of high quality, effective and predictable delivery. Through strategic leadership and a focus on customer needs, the CPO plays a vital role in driving the company's growth and maintaining its competitive advantage, ensuring products not only meet current market demands but are also positioned for future success.
Responsibilities
Market Success: Launch products that successfully meet market needs, gain significant market share, and establish the company as a leader in its respective sectors. This involves creating products that resonate with customers, addressing their problems and exceeding expectations. This includes maintaining a keen focus on customer feedback and continuously improving products to meet evolving needs
Innovation and Differentiation: Foster a culture of innovation that leads to the development of unique and differentiated products. The goal is to ensure that the company's offerings stand out in the marketplace, providing a competitive edge
Revenue Growth and Profitability: Drive revenue growth and profitability through effective product strategies, including tools, engagement and conversion rates. The CPO aims to maximize the financial performance of the product portfolio, contributing significantly to the company's bottom line. The CPO should aim to develop products in the most effective and efficient way possible and where possible using 3rd party tools and effective resource management
Strategic Alignment and Execution: Ensure that the product strategy is fully aligned with the company's overall strategic goals and executed effectively. This involves close collaboration with other departments to ensure that product development and launches are well-coordinated and support the company's broader objectives
Team Leadership and Development: Build and lead a high-performing product management team. The CPO is responsible for hiring, mentoring, and inspiring product managers, product designers and engineers and related roles, fostering a collaborative environment that encourages innovation and excellence
Data Governance and Integrity: Ensure the capture, integrity, security, and proper management of data across the product lifecycle. The CPO is responsible for establishing data governance and security policies that comply with legal and ethical standards, safeguarding customer and business data
Requirements
The ideal candidate should have expertise in product management, product design, software development, DevOps and SecOps, and data engineering and data science
Strong people leadership and management skills
Proven experience managing P&L and accountability for ROI
Marketplace expertise
Loyalty, rewards, and membership experience
Mobile product development experience
Strong data experience
Experience or strong interest in implementing internal and external AI solution
