Children Ministry Staff (English and Mandarin)- Position Overview: We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic individual to fill the role of Full-Time Children Ministry Staff, responsible for leading and shepherding both the English and Mandarin Children Ministries. The primary focus of this role is to provide comprehensive support, coordination, and training for teachers, lead and coordinate volunteers, source and support curriculum and program planning, foster strong engagement with children, and develop meaningful partnerships with parents.
Teacher Support and Coordination: Provide guidance, mentorship, and coordinate training to Sunday School teachers within the English and Mandarin congregations.- Volunteer Coordination and Leadership: Lead and coordinate volunteers involved in the childrens ministry. Recruit and provide ongoing support to volunteers, ensuring a well-functioning and nurturing environment for both volunteers and children.
Curriculum and Programme Management: Source, evaluate, and support the implementation of age-appropriate curriculum materials and programme planning. Collaborate with teachers and volunteers to create engaging and impactful learning experiences for children.
- Engagement with Children: Build and maintain a dynamic and welcoming atmosphere that encourages active participation and engagement among children. Organize events, activities, and outreach initiatives that foster a sense of belonging and spiritual growth.
Parental Partnership: Develop and nurture strong relationships with parents, promoting open communication and collaboration. Provide resources, workshops, and avenues for parents to be actively involved in their childrens spiritual journey.- Coordinated Ministry: Coordinate between English and Mandarin Children Ministries, proposing areas of synergy and collaboration, where applicable.
- Qualifications and Skills:
A strong commitment to the Christian faith and a passion for childrens spiritual development.- Experience in childrens ministry, education, or related fields.
Effective interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate teams and volunteers, and to build positive relationships with children and parents.
- Fluency in both English and Mandarin, with the ability to communicate and teach effectively in both languages.
Organizational skills to manage curriculum sourcing, program planning, and event coordination.- Creative and innovative mindset for designing engaging and impactful learning experiences.
