Responsibilities:
- Plan, manage, execute and close out construction projects (and/ or maintenance construction works) in a safe, timely and sustainable manner including managing nominated subcontractors & vendors
- Produce long and short term work plan / schedule for assigned task/projects
- Conduct site investigations and analyse data (reports, tests and drawings)
- Ensure quality of work produced meeting requirements and ensure all pertinent documentations for the job is in order that includes but not limited to method statement & risk assessment, as-built drawings, EQCC, ITP, FIS (field info sheet) compilation of project documents and project closures
- Follow through with job quotations/ BQs, progress claims and issuance /closure of POs for the jobs
- Ensure work carried out safely and comply to all safety requirements
- Handles and resolve technical issues including liaising with subcontractors, vendors, designer and/or consultants
- Progress monitoring and reporting of project status
- Pre-work preparation, e.g. site visit, schedule, MS/RA etc.
- Setting project target and meeting supervisors regularly to share work plan and resource sharing
- Regular site visit to identify system/ process deficiency and highlight in timely manner
- Recommendation and implementation of operational improvement possibility (including mechanisation, digitalization and other productivity and cost optimisation improvements)
- Carry out technical and feasibility studies that satisfy technical specifications
- Purchasing of materials that includes raising of MRF and close out of GRN once material received
- Checking on materials delivered to confirm correct materials ordered & delivered
- Attend monthly HSSE Committee meeting and highlight any pertinent issues
- Attend schedule project/ site meetings (internal & external) and highlight any pertinent issues including producing meeting minutes
- Enhances organization reputation by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments.
- Taking part of tender preparation process including submission of technical submission, project schedule and any other actions required for the tender submissions
Requirements:
- Possess a Degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent recognized by Singapore PE Board.
- Minimum 3-5 years of relevant site experience work for civil projects.
- Must be technically inclined and possesses excellent problem-solving.
- Be able to work independently as well as acquiring good interpersonal skills to coordinate between the various disciplines and construction teams.
- Experience in using Microsoft Project/ Primavera or equivalent is preferred
