Job Description

Working from an office base you will assist the Major Complex Loss Adjusting Team by providing support with the settlement of claims within the terms of the insurance policy.

You will deliver the highest level of customer service by assisting with the management of a portfolio of claims. You should work closely with your manager/ team colleagues but will be required to work independently therefore you must be able to work using your own initiative.

Assist the Major Complex Loss Team with report preparation to ensure prompt claim settlements and provide essential administrative support. You will be involved in the acceptance of work, issuance of reports, and fee management during the service delivery process. There will be opportunities to participate in client meetings and site surveys, offering on-the-job learning for personal development and career progression. Additionally, you will receive qualified training from professional bodies to enhance your skills and knowledge.

  • Assist Major Complex Loss Team with report preparation in order to settle claims promptly
  • Assist the Major Complex Loss Team in meeting service and reporting agreements throughout the claims process, from registering the work to issuing reports
  • Provide administrative support to Major Complex Loss team to ensure proper time recording and expense submission
  • Register the claim on system and issuing acceptance of work to client upon as instructed by Lead adjuster
  • Ensure Reporting Template is consistent
  • Maintain regular contact with your Adjusting Team to discuss service delivery or to discuss and agree any actions for more complex or challenging claims
  • Assist in the preparation of presentation
  • Comply with Sedgwick processes and procedures
  • Ensure consistency in reporting standards and email response with respect of report and fee matters
  • Achieve objectives as agreed with your line manager during appraisals/ one to one meetings
  • Establish and maintain trust with your colleagues
  • Strive for continued personal development and growth by participating in occasional client meetings, workshops and on the job training for site inspections where appropriate.

Other duties:

Attain personal development by attaining basic insurance certification by either CII, ANZIIF, ANZILA or SCI
