We are seeking a skilled and safety-conscious Class 5 Lorry Crane Driver & Operator to join our team in the construction maintenance process industry. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the safe operation of lorry-mounted cranes, ensuring the efficient transportation and lifting of materials on various job sites.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate lorry-mounted cranes safely and efficiently to lift, move, and place materials as required.
- Conduct pre-operation inspections and routine maintenance checks on the crane and lorry.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies at all times.
- Coordinate with site supervisors and crew members to understand lifting requirements and site conditions.
- Maintain accurate records of work activities, including load weights, travel logs, and maintenance performed.
- Assist in loading and unloading materials from the lorry as necessary.
- Provide support in other maintenance tasks when not operating the crane.
- Participate in safety training and adhere to best practices in crane operation.
Qualifications:
- Valid Class 5 driver's license with a clean driving record.
- Certification in crane operation (e.g., CPCS, NCCCO) preferred.
- Proven experience operating lorry-mounted cranes in construction or maintenance settings.
- Strong understanding of safety protocols and regulations.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to read and interpret technical documents and site plans.
- Physical stamina and the ability to work in varying weather conditions.
