We are representing our client, who is an established leader in medical device and laboratory equipment, to recruit for experienced Clinical Application Specialist to join their team to handle Point-of-Care Testing Solutions/Products.
POSITION SUMMARY
This candidate providesextensive pre and post-sales support for medical and hospital Point-of-Care Testing (POCT) Solutions/ Products to the Company's customers.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Provide user application support to customers by visits, phone calls, email communications, and hands-on training (on-site and virtually)
- Assist the sales team in tender presentation and product demonstrations
- Assist Product Manager and/or Service Unit in setting up the system parameters, running evaluation, correlation, and validation based on hospital protocol, and work with service engineers as required during installation
- Assist in systems result troubleshooting
- Conduct user training and operator certification, including Safety reporting and escalation
- Manage workflow in single or multi-site settings, and enhance efficiency across all laboratory disciplines with Laboratory Information System (LIS) solutions.
- Provide LIS support for the laboratory and Hospital Information System (HIS) support including operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of the Point-of-care instrumentation system
- Accurately document and track changes made to the Point-of-care instrumentation system.

After Sales
- iApplication training: Presentation on technology relevant to medical device prior to hands-on section
- Hands-on training to end users : Hardware and software features , clinical application and in-service
- Troubleshooting and problem solving of relevant devices
- Addressing relevant user queries when necessary
- Provide value added service in promoting medical consumables for relevant medical devices
REQUIREMENTS
- Candidate must possess at least a Diploma with background preferably in POCT instrumentation systems and health information and technology
- Prior work experience from POCT systems in local government or private institutions would be essential
- Knowledge on various patient monitoring devices would be an added advantage
- Familiar with Hospital Information System (HIS) and Laboratory Information System (LIS)
- Good communication & presentation skills (well versed in both spoken and written English)
- Proficient MS Office Suite
- Well disciplined, self-motivated and able to work independently
- Meticulous and organized personality
- Positive attitude and willingness to learn.
