Cloud Engineer

Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Cloud Operations Engineer with expertise in Azure and AWS to join our delivery team. This project-facing role involves executing daily cloud operations, cloud implementations, and providing technical expertise during customer engagements. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong technical capabilities, hands-on experience, and excellent project-handling and teamwork skills.

Key Responsibilities:

Cloud Operations and Administration: Perform daily cloud operations, including administration and maintenance, ensuring performance, security, and reliability. Handle configuration tasks to meet high standards of scalability, maintainability, and reusability.

Implementation and Delivery: Lead or participate in specific cloud implementation projects, pilots, and migrations. Codify and deploy configurations following automation-first principles using tools like Ansible, CloudFormation, and Terraform. Document all configurations and deployments effectively.

Cloud Migrations: Participate in cloud migration projects, including migrating over 20 VMs or databases using tools such as CloudEndure and Azure Migrate.

Technical Expertise and Solutions: Provide technical expertise to fellow team members and projects, offering innovative solutions to optimize cloud environments. Resolve technical issues efficiently and ensure adherence to SLAs with proper resolution documentation.

Project Collaboration: Engage with projects in operational meetings, fostering discussions to improve processes and optimize environments. Maintain strong project relationships and ensure delivery excellence.

Knowledge Sharing and Skill Development: Stay updated on market trends, certifications, and competitive insights in cloud technologies. Actively collaborate with the technical community and contribute to knowledge sharing.

Mandatory Skills and Certifications

Cloud Skills: Proficiency in Azure and AWS platforms. Hands-on experience with Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS), API Management (APIM), API Gateway, Network Security Groups (NSG), and Azure Firewall.

Certifications: Azure certifications are highly preferred.

Technical Proficiency: Experience with cloud configuration and deployment using automation tools (e.g., Ansible, CloudFormation, Terraform). Knowledge of cloud migration tools like CloudEndure and Azure Migrate.
