Cloud Engineer

Job Responsibilities

. Design, deploy, and maintain cloud-based infrastructure using AWS or Google

Cloud.

. Ensure compliance with asset management regulations in relevant countries.

. Monitor and optimize cloud resources for performance, cost, and security.

. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement cloud

solutions.

. Troubleshoot and resolve cloud-related issues promptly.

. Develop and maintain documentation for cloud infrastructure and processes.

. Stay updated with the latest cloud technologies and best practices.

. Managing cloud environments in accordance with company policies and security

guidelines.

. Developing, deploying and debugging IaC code (Cloud formation and Terraform).

. Interacting with users, providing cloud support, and making recommendations

based on user needs.

. Employing exceptional problem-solving skills, with the ability to see and solve

issues before they snowball into problems.

. Educating teams on the implementation of new cloud technologies and initiatives.

. Regularly reviewing existing systems and making recommendations for

improvements.

Job Requirements

. Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related

field.

. 3-7 years of experience in cloud engineering, with a focus on AWS or Google

Cloud.

. Experience in the financial services industry.

. Strong understanding of cloud security, networking, and cost management.

. Knowledge of DevOps practices and tools.

. Familiarity with asset management regulations in countries where UOB Asset

Management operates.

. Experience with infrastructure as code (IaC) tools such as Terraform or

CloudFormation.

. Proficiency in scripting languages like Python, Bash, or PowerShell.

. Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

. Strong communication and collaboration skills.

Relevant cloud certifications (e.g., AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Google

Cloud Professional Cloud Architect)
