The primary objective of the Cloud Solution Architect role is to lead the development and execution of Armstrong Industries cloud strategy, ensuring it aligns with our overall business goals and IT framework. This includes architecting robust, secure, and scalable cloud solutions across multiple cloud platforms to enhance operational efficiency, promote agility, and foster innovation.
The Cloud Solution Architect will play a crucial role in transforming our IT infrastructure to be more cloud-centric, facilitating better data management, application development, and customer service across our global operations.
Multi-Cloud Strategy Development: Architect and implement a robust multi-cloud strategy, ensuring seamless integration and operation across various cloud platforms such as Azure, AWS, Google Cloud, etc., to meet diverse business needs.
- Solution Design & Implementation: Architect and deploy cloud solutions, managing the full lifecycle from conception to implementation, ensuring seamless integration with existing systems.
Team Leadership & Collaboration
: Lead and collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure cloud solutions meet business needs and technical requirements, fostering a culture of innovation.Operational Excellence & Innovation:
Continuously evaluate and optimize cloud infrastructure and services for performance, cost, and security. Advocate for the adoption of emerging cloud technologies and practices.Compliance & Risk Management: Ensure all cloud solutions adhere to regulatory standards and company policies, proactively managing risks and implementing necessary controls.
- Knowledge Sharing & Development: Mentor team members in cloud technologies and best practices, enhancing the collective expertise of the IT department.
Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent.
- Professional certifications in Azure Solutions Architect, AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Google Cloud Certified Architect, MS 365 Administrator Expert, and other relevant multi-cloud technologies.
MS Azure Solutions Architect Expert certification is required.- 6-8 years of proven experience in designing and implementing solutions across multiple cloud platforms, with a strong track record of successful multi-cloud deployments.
Solid working knowledge of Active Directory, VMWare, Windows Server, Linux, Storage (NAS, SAN), Relational Databases, Networking (Routing, Firewall, Load balancers), Web services (Apache, Tomcat, IIS), File transferring (SFTP, FTP).
- Deep understanding of infrastructure, database technologies, cybersecurity, and the unique features and challenges of various cloud environments.
Proficiency in scripting and programming languages (e.g., DevOps Python, Ruby, or PowerShell).- Outstanding leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to manage complex, multi-faceted projects.
Minimum of 3 years people leadership experience.
- Demonstrated capability in strategic thinking and the ability to navigate complex project environments to deliver impactful outcomes.
