Family Group: Allied Health
The clinical coordinator will support and assist the department of Otorhinolaryngology in the administrative and management of patient's care and related project and/or trials. The coordinator's main duties and responsibilities include:
Clinical Patient Care (70%)
Perform basic screening and assessments for baseline data to track improvement of patients condition
Educate and counsel patients on their care, and reinforce on the information and advice given by the doctor
Provide pre and post operative counselling for the patients in accordance to doctors instruction
Coordinate and liaise with other departments to ensure doctors orders are carried out
Expedite outpatient appointments when necessary
Coordinate and prepare department meetings, such as weekly Tumour Board
Work with MSW and other allied health to inform patients of relevant talks and workshops being conducted
Maintaining a head and neck cancer database
Main contact point between patients and doctors
Screen cancer clinic cases
Clinical Research (20%)
Maintain timely and accurate patient records
Collect data and statistics for clinical projects, research and/or trials
Update patient database and registries timely
Assist clinicians and research residents with projects and/or clinical trials
Coordinate projects and trials in TTSH and NHG
General (10%)
Tracking of research papers, journals and publication for the department
Participate and assists in co-ordinating department level activities such as workshops, seminars and etc
Perform any other ad-hoc duties as assigned by Head of Department and/or Manager
Collect and analyze head and neck KPI data
Enhanced Recovery After Surgery (ERAS) patient recruitment and data collection
