- Ensure that all documentation (e.g., test records, certificates of compliance, etc.) is compiled and submitted for review and approval.
- Conduct risk assessments during commissioning and identify any potential risks related to system performance, safety, or compliance.
- Engagement & Management of Commissioning Agents
- Assist in the engagement of a commissioning agent, including defining scope, reviewing qualifications, and working with internal stakeholders in preparing contracts or agreements.
- Collaborate with the commissioning agent to develop detailed commissioning strategies, schedules, and resource plans.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for the commissioning agent, ensuring they understand and meet AWS requirements, expectations, and safety standards.
- Monitor the performance of the commissioning agent, ensuring the efficient execution of their responsibilities and adherence to contractual obligations.
- Provide feedback and recommendations to both the commissioning agent and internal stakeholders regarding performance, system functionality, and potential improvements.
- Facilitate the handover process to operations teams once systems are successfully commissioned.
- Collaboration & Reporting
- Work closely with the project manager, design engineers, and construction teams (both internal and external stakeholders) to ensure smooth integration of commissioning activities into the overall project schedule.
- Maintain regular communication with internal and external stakeholders to provide updates on commissioning progress, identify challenges, and propose solutions.
- Prepare and deliver progress reports on commissioning activities, issues, and resolutions to senior management and project stakeholders.
