Responsibilities:
- Prepare and compile information for subcontractor quotations and cost estimation.
- Follow up on quotations, negotiate, select, and recommend subcontractors.
- Ensure timely and accurate issuance of Works Orders.
- Maintain awarded prices within budget for increased profitability.
- Handle legal documents like Letters of Indemnity and Workmen Insurances.
- Stay updated with Ministry of Manpower regulations on subcontracting.
- Liaise with Production Departments and monitor subcontractor performance.
- Address complaints regarding subcontractor progress or quality.
- Ensure smooth interaction with subcontractors based on Production Department information.
- Manage additional claims or contract variations.
- Stay informed about market pricing and trends.
- Evaluate and audit subcontractors and their facilities.
- Verify subcontractor invoices against Works Orders.
- Advise on listing or delisting subcontractors.
- Handle other subcontracting matters as delegated.
- Update database of subcontractors, man-hour rates, and cost comparisons.
Responsibilities:
- Diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Marketing, or Commercial.
- Minimum 3 years in a marine shipyard or commercial role. Fresh graduates are welcome to apply.
- Proficient in MS Office applications, especially Excel.
- Able to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Good attitude, meticulous, independent worker, team player, excellent interpersonal and communication skills, positive attitude, and willingness to take on challenges.
