The Opportunity
We currently have an opportunity for a Commercial Quality Manager Asia to join our Quality Assurance team in Singapore on a full time basis.
Reporting to the Head of Quality Ops APAC, core focus of the role is to provide an independent QA role to ensure consistent implementation of sustainable iNova Quality Management Systems and iNova Standards and/or requirements within the Asia Commercial entities and its appointed distributors and service providers for Direct and Indirect markets
The Commercial Quality Manager Asia will act as Quality Representative and the point of contact for the escalation of any quality related matters for Asia Commercial entities. The incumbent will lead the commercial quality operations activities and provide support to Asia Commercial entities to ensure compliance to local market regulatory requirements
The Commercial Quality Manager Asia is responsible for the following:
- Partner local team to advise on the management of potential recall situations for countries in their area
- Provide inputs to Head of Quality Operations (APAC) on any upcoming local regulations that might have an impact to quality processes and any upstream quality operations.
- Trained and provide leadership to Commercial Quality Operations personnel
Key Accountabilities And Performance Indicators Include
- Ensure implementation or iNova Quality Management System and GMP requirements at country level.
- Monitor and review performance or metrics against the targets and liaise periodically with Quality Region leads, COE Quality Lead and other cross functional Heads to agree improvement areas.
- Determine the responsibilities of Quality operations personnel to ensure effective, overall quality management and continuous improvement of supply chain activities in Asia Commercial entities.
- Create and identify opportunities to share information, documentation and knowledge within quality team to , drive simplification and improvements.
- Ensure timely and effective escalation or quality incidents and provide the necessary analysis to understand and escalate issues which have the potential to impact supply or iNova's reputation as a Marketing Authorisation Holder (MAH) and distributor of quality products and when necessary direct Commercial entities to manage incidents via the Critical Action Committee (CAC) process and take on the role of CAC Chair where applicable, relating to Commercial Quality in Area. Act as a coach/provide advice to the CAC.
- Actively manage the Commercial quality operations team and provide inputs in their development and objective targets.
- Conduct self-inspection and internal audits in accordance to audit schedule.
- Act as a quality contact for Supply Chain and commercial teams as relevant in relation to quality and compliance issues.
- Coordinate with local/regional Regulatory teams and Distribution Center site readiness for Health Authority inspections and proactively manage interactions and commitments to Health Authority (HA).
- Ensure effective Quality Management of New Product Introduction, the distribution network in area, complaint management, artwork management and ensure Pre-distribution check is conducted in line with local regulatory requirements.
- Provide Commercial third party management and quality oversight for direct and indirect markets.
About You
To be successful in this role, you will possess the following experience and personal attributes:
- Minimum requirement is a tertiary qualification (BSc or equivalent) in chemistry, pharmacy, or a related discipline. Post-graduate qualifications preferred (science or business)
- 10 years working in Life Sciences, Pharmaceutical or Consumer Healthcare industry.
- Strong background and expertise in quality management with a focus on overall business requirements.
- Strong collaboration and stakeholder management capabilities. Build and maintain relationship at all levels of the organization.
- Lead effectively through times of crisis and ambiguity.
- Strong customer focus (with respect to internal and external customers)
- Strong leadership experience and mindset (enterprise leader perspective rather than functional leadership perspective only)
- Experience in leading change with good communication skills.
