Commodity Manager, Mechaical

Our Client

Our client is an US based fortune 500 mechanical manufacturing company with the deep business operation across enire Asia Pacific. They are no doubt the world top leader within the segment they are serving. Due to the business expansion, now they are looking for a high caliber Commodity Manager, Mechnical to join in their Global Souricng Oranization. And this is a individual contributor role will be based in Singapore.

• Responsibility

As a Commodity Manager, you will be responsible for all aspects of supplier development and ongoing performance management regarding the business needs. You will help to develop and execute supplier acquisition strategy in _South East Asia _region and reduce total cost of ownership, in support of the production factory in USA and Europe. You will be expected to lead and participate in large projects, as well as understand and resolve complex issues that put company objectives at risk. You will be a key part of a Global Sorucing team that drives continuous improvement and ensures operational excellence in support of business rapid growth.

• Supports the development, implementation, and governance of sourcing strategies, including supplier selection, supplier relationship development, supplier performance optimization, pricing & contract negotiations, leveraging sourcing tools to secure optimum value, understanding & mitigating supply chain risk, etc.

Experience with external manufacturing sourcing projects preferred.

• Communicates and ensures proper governance of the corporate-wide Sourcing strategy.

Liaise with key stakeholders in Business Units, RD&E and others as determined to coordinate business requirements and ensure a stable supply chain while delivering optimum value.

• Liaise with regional sourcing groups (Americas, EMEA, Asia Pacific, and India) to understand local requirements and ensure proper support as needed.

Key Metrics & Outcomes include: Ethics, Cost Reduction, Touchless Procurement, Supplier On-Time Delivery & Quality, Supplier Lead Time Reduction, Inflation Mitigation

• Develops knowledge and understanding of cost drivers and manufacturing processes related to external manufacturing and leverages this knowledge to optimize value for the business.

Support strategic initiatives and projects as required by the business

• Drives to develop and understand internal stakeholder requirements and uses this information to assist in recommendation of sourcing decisions.

Supports the designing, planning, and managing projects to deliver value-added solutions within defined time and cost parameters

• Requirements/Qualifications:

Bachelor degree on engineering related majors from an accredited university or college

• At least 5 years of experience in a Sourcing and Program Management position

Strong oral and written communication skills in both English, and _Chinese Mandarin_ is a plus

• Strong interpersonal and leadership skills

Ability to cope with multiple complex situations daily

• Negotiation expertise is must.

Metallic sourcing relative experience is must. Experience in casting,machining is a plus
