Overview
The Communications team collaborates with different departments at NUH to enhance the hospital's public image and support internal culture change through various communication channels and publicity efforts. The goal is to drive effective communication and staff engagement, fostering a sense of belonging and recognising staff contributions to the delivery of incredible care.
The intern will support the team in the development and implementation of social media and marketing communications strategies to build brand awareness and engagement with target audiences to drive business objectives.
Key Responsibilities
Social Media (60%)
- Execute social media strategy across channels such as Facebook, Instagram, TikTok and LinkedIn to increase brand presence and content performance
- Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to deliver social media posts
- Plan and schedule content for the social media calendar
- Create engaging social media assets, such as visuals, short-form videos across all channels
- Craft social media captions for ad-hoc posts when needed, e.g. for news/media articles identified by the team
- Assist with photo / video content shoots
- Prepare social media statistics (monthly and ad-hoc, where necessary) and to share with the team, a short summary on performance of posts, and provide recommendations for improvement.
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends, tap on trending ideas; propose and adapt for NUH's social media
- Community management of feedback and queries
- Any other assigned duties, where applicable.
Marcomms (40%)
Onsite Profiling:
- Assist the team in the conceptualisation, execution, and delivery of onsite projects for NUH branding in preparation of NUH's 40th Anniversary (2025) on spaces around the hospital.
- Manage TV-on-wheels units and scheduling of content on existing screens and LED on a weekly basis.
Internet Website:
- Ensure the platform is updated with scheduled as well as ad-hoc content.
- Assist with website maintenance
- Search Engine Optimisation for target pages
Requirements
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor's Degree
- Excellent copywriting and communication skills
- Attention to detail
- Experience with/in the following is a plus: Social media management, Adobe creative suite, Canva, Photography, Videography
- Any web content management system (CMS)
- Sharepoint and Sitefinity CMS
- A team player who is able to work well under pressure and tight timelines
- Good knowledge of Microsoft Office applications
