This role is essential to advancing the organization's active aging objectives by combining community support, volunteer management, and efficient administrative practices to enhance service effectiveness for seniors.
- Encourage members active participation in center activities.
- Assist with outreach efforts to attract new members and support volunteer screening and development.
- Facilitate befriending initiatives, connecting volunteers and members, while organizing training sessions on essential topics like communication skills, mental health, and chronic illness awareness.
- Schedule regular volunteer meetings for peer support and growth.
- Collaborate on planning and assessing activities aimed at promoting seniors independence and active aging within the community.
- Maintain the center's cleanliness and assist with safety checks, covering event operations as needed.
- Help organize seasonal events, outings, and team meetings to promote community engagement.
- Record attendance and manage registrations for members and volunteers.
- Handle inquiries, walk-ins, and safety protocols for visitors.
- Oversee documentation, invoicing, fee collections, and reporting, including compliance reports for the Ministry of Health.
- Coordinate supply management, repairs, and event logistics, and support colleagues and clients on operational matters.
Requirements:
- At least 2 years of experience in the similar industry.
- Experience in handling Member and Volunteer Engagement, Program Implementation and Evaluation, and Administrative Support
- Well-versed in MS Office Applications would be preferred.
- Immediate starter is a plus
