Job Objectives:
The Competence Management Manager supports both the Chief Flight Instructor (CFI) and Head of Training (HoT) to execute the instructors standardisation plan and ensure that instructors have the necessary Group of Competencies to perform the role.
Responsibilities:
Create and manage instructor profiles on internal Airbus systems (MyTeam, My Control Tower (MCT) and dossiers) compliant shared drive and physical drive
Provide indoctrination and facilitate training for newly hired instructors
Track and monitor instructor competencies according to Airbus requirements
Organise flight instructor training as per Airbus Asia Training Centre (AATC) and Airbus requirement
Manage documentation (e.g. Type Rating Training Organisation (TRTO) manuals) specific to authorities
Prepare for the CFI necessary documents to relevant competency and regulatory authority to obtain flight instructor authorisation periodically for instructor candidates
Provide monthly updates of the list of authorised instructors to Worldwide CFI / Chief Ground School Instructor (CGSI)
Participate as auditee to aviation authority and customer audits
Prepare slides and facilitate monthly standardiser and instructor meetings (i.e. monthly instructor utilisation dashboard)
Prepare and manage monthly instructor meeting reports, instructor support documents and AATC standardisation documents
Prepare monthly instructor contact day allowance forms for payroll
Prepare Training updates for weekly management meeting and Board of Director (BoD) meeting slides for HoT
Verify monthly instructor data for Monthly Business Review
Manage registration and monitor completion rate of e-learning and simulator sessions for recurrent instructor training and checks.
Raise deviation request for instructor related matters for Local HoT and Worldwide Approved Training Organisation (ATO) approval
Provide support to CFI and CGSI on instructor competency matters
Coordinate with HR, HoT/CFI and agency on candidate selection and assessment and prepare schedule for assessment day
Organize and lead a monthly meeting with Training Media Management (TMM) team for operational matters and produce meeting minutes
Organize meetings with Airbus affiliates and vendors for ongoing projects and discussion and produce meeting minutes if needed
Oversee operational matters that involve interdepartmental coordination with TMM
As AATC Safety Management System (SMS) representative, drive safety awareness and initiatives in accordance with safety manual in coordination with Training Services SMS Officer, and Technical Advisor.
Ensure updated SMS documentation and dedicated e-learning is deployed.
Ensure periodic hazard identification, safety-related data capture, risk assessment mitigation and corrective action is accomplished within the scope of an SMS officer.
Participate, as needed, to SMS meetings organized by the Training Services.
Assist in the management of local Emergency Response Plan (ERP)
Tasks as assigned by HoT / CFI
Requirements:
Bachelor's Degree in Aviation
IT literate and good working knowledge of Google workspace
Strong computer knowledge in both hardware and software
Experience in flight training Instructors planning & scheduling preferred
Experience in flight training administration preferred
Knowledge of Civil Aviation Authority of Singapore (CAAS) & European Union Aviation Safety Agency (EASA) Aviation Training Organisation (ATO) rules & regulations
