How to succeed in this role
The Role & Responsibilities
Project Planning and Coordination
- Project Development: Oversee the entire project lifecycle, ensuring adherence to scope, timelines, and budgets. Assist the team in generating the Bill of Quantities, creating quotations, scheduling, and the selection and management of subcontractors and suppliers under the guidance of the Management team. Ability to generate quotations is a major plus.
- Stakeholder Coordination: Serve as the central point of coordination among design teams, client accounts team, contractors, and suppliers, ensuring clear communication and project alignment.
- Meeting Engagement: Attend and contribute to all project meetings, offering insights to improve project delivery and quality.
- Documentation Management: Manage all project documentation, including quotations, contracts, invoices and plans, to maintain accuracy and ensure accessibility.
Execution and Quality Assurance
- Timeline and Quality Management: Monitor project progress to meet milestones and adjust as needed, ensuring work meets the highest quality standards and design specifications.
- Problem Solving and Adaptability: Address on-site issues swiftly and adjust project plans in response to unforeseen challenges, maintaining project integrity and stakeholder communication. Clarity and transparency is key.
- QA/QC & Safety Compliance: Enforce struct quality and safety standards across all operations, ensuring compliance with internal procedures and senior management directives.
- Availability: Maintain readiness to respond to project needs as they arise, ensuring continuous project progression and stakeholder satisfaction.
What you'll need to succeed
Skills & Qualifications
Technology and Reporting
- Software Skills: Proficient in project management software, especially Microsoft Projects, to improve planning, tracking, and execution.
- Innovative Solutions: Stay on top of the latest technologies and methodologies to streamline project execution and enhance outcomes.
- Feedback Implementation: Incorporate client and team feedback to continuously improve project management processes and outcomes.
- Performance Reporting: Utilize the latest project management software for weekly updates, providing comprehensive reports on project status, budget, timeline, and on-site conditions to management.
Qualifications:
- Degree in Project Management, Construction Management, or related field.
- At least 2 years experience in project management or coordination. Experience with landed residential and A&A works preferred.
- Able to plan and manage several projects concurrently.
- Proficiency in project management software, in particular: MS Projects, Asana, etc.
- Proficiency in Google Suite of products (Sheets, Calendar, etc.)
- Proficiency in understanding construction technical drawings.
- Exceptional communication and negotiation skills, adept at interacting with stakeholders at all levels and clients when the need arises.
- Strategic thinking and problem-solving abilities, with meticulous attention to detail and a commitment to excellence.
- Flexibility to adapt to new challenges and changing project scopes.
- Strong sense of ownership and responsibility in project delivery.
