Job Title: Consulting Manager - Credit Risk

Position Overview:

They are seeking an experienced and dynamic Manager who specializes in Credit & Quantitative risk. In this role, you will leverage your strong expertise in credit risk and quantitative analysis to provide strategic insights and actionable recommendations to our clients in financial services, banking, and other industries. You will be responsible for managing and assessing credit risk, modeling quantitative financial metrics, and helping our clients navigate complex risk challenges.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Credit Risk Analysis: Analyze and assess the creditworthiness of clients portfolios, including performing stress testing, scenario analysis, and credit loss forecasting.
  • Quantitative Modeling: Develop and implement advanced quantitative models for credit risk measurement, including PD (Probability of Default), LGD (Loss Given Default), and EAD (Exposure at Default).
  • Risk Reporting & Monitoring: Prepare and present comprehensive risk reports, including risk appetite assessments, key risk indicators, and other metrics to senior management and clients.
  • Client Advisory: Advise clients on risk mitigation strategies, regulatory compliance, and optimization of their credit risk models and processes.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Stay updated on the latest regulatory frameworks (e.g., Basel III, IFRS 9, stress testing regulations) and ensure that clients risk management practices align with evolving standards.
  • Data Analysis & Forecasting: Use statistical tools and techniques (e.g., Monte Carlo simulations, regression analysis) to analyze large datasets and develop predictive models for credit risk forecasting.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with client teams, internal stakeholders, and cross-functional departments (such as finance, legal, and operations) to provide integrated risk management solutions.
  • Project Management: Lead multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring timely delivery, effective communication with clients, and the implementation of risk management frameworks that align with client goals.
  • Team Development: Mentor and guide junior staff, providing training and fostering a collaborative environment within the risk management team.

Required Qualifications & Skills:

  • Education: Master's degree in Finance, Economics, Quantitative Finance, Financial Engineering, or related field. CFA, FRM, or other relevant certifications are a plus.
  • Experience: 5-7 years of experience in credit risk management, quantitative risk modeling, or financial consulting, ideally within a consulting firm or financial institution.
  • Quantitative Skills: Strong proficiency in quantitative analysis and statistical modeling techniques. Expertise in tools like Python, R, SAS, MATLAB, or similar platforms is essential.
  • Financial Risk Management: In-depth understanding of credit risk models, counterparty risk, portfolio management, and related financial regulations (Basel III, IFRS 9, Dodd-Frank, etc.).
  • Technical Proficiency: Advanced Excel skills and experience with risk management software (e.g., Moody's Analytics, Algorithmic Trading Platforms, etc.) and data visualization tools.
  • Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to explain complex quantitative concepts in simple terms for clients and stakeholders.
  • Problem-Solving: Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and critical-thinking abilities, with a focus on delivering innovative risk solutions.
  • Project Management: Ability to manage multiple projects under tight deadlines, ensuring effective client communication and results delivery.
  • Client-Facing Experience: Proven track record of working directly with clients to understand their needs, deliver tailored solutions, and build long-term relationships.
