Contract Logistics Senior Customer Solutions Engineer

Job Description

You will be part of our contract logistics team, adding your leadership expertise + skills to the delivery of Customer + Operational Excellence
Your Role
Your primary objective is to be successful in gaining + retaining customers by offering industry leading solutions. You will be working with internal + external stakeholders while focusing on the following key objectives
Your Responsibilities
To manage others in the development of successful customer solutions.
To take the lead in major customer tender proposals, driving compelling logistics concepts.
To drive innovation, introducing + implementing new concepts + technology while building on existing best practices.
To present solutions to the customer as key part of the tendering process.
To be the business partner for your management team when addressing solution queries from customers, as well as challenging the status quo + customers in a constructive way where needed.
To manage partnerships with key vendors to optimize costing + lead-times.
To support the development of others in terms of skills + knowledge levels, assuring high standards of compliance.
Your Skills and Experiences
Bachelor's degree in a related field such as computer science, engineering, or information technology is required
5 to 10 years or more. Experience in solution engineering, sales engineering, or a related technical role is essential.
Strong technical proficiency in the company's products or services, as well as a solid understanding of the industry and market trends.
Excellent problem-solving skills are a must. To analyze complex customer requirements and provide tailored solutions.
Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, are crucial. Effectively communicate technical information to both technical and non-technical stakeholders, including customers and sales teams.
Ability to deliver compelling and persuasive presentations and demos to customers. This includes the ability to explain technical concepts in a clear and understandable manner.
A strong customer-centric approach is vital. Must understand customer needs and provide solutions that meet those needs.
Collaborative skills are important, as Solution Engineers often work closely with sales teams, product development, and other technical teams to ensure the successful delivery of solutions.
A good understanding of the sales process is essential. This includes the ability to identify opportunities, qualify leads, and support the sales team in closing deals.
Leadership Skills: the ability to lead and mentor junior solution engineers or technical teams may be necessary.
