Job Description
- Assist the automation maintenance team in conducting regular preventive, corrective, predictive, conditions-based, ad hoc, and reliability-centered maintenance on storage systems, equipment, and packaging machines to ensure optimal operation and minimal disruption to the supply chain's operation.
- Collaborate with the Automation Maintenance Lead to diagnose and repair malfunctioning complex logistics and packaging equipment effectively.
- Support the installation, modification, upgrade, and maintenance of storage systems and packaging equipment during project phases as a representative of the team.
- Aid the automation team in maintaining industrial control systems for automated equipment, both software and hardware components.
- Provide engineering support for modifications to robotic and automation systems.
- Liaise closely with operations and automation teams to ensure that all automation equipment and processes meet safety standards and comply with company policies.
- Assist in preparing reports on system performance and breakdowns from technicians for management review.
- Provide support to the Automation Maintenance Lead and technicians in identifying and resolving process-related issues.
- Collaborate with the team to develop work instructions, safety risk assessments, and continuous improvement projects.
- Undertake any other ad hoc duties as assigned.
The Successful Applicant
- Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, or Automation Control or any related.
- At least of 3 years working experience in an integrator/automation equipment manufacturer/warehouse automation project, or 5 years experience in after-service roles within automation projects.
- Proficient in AutoCAD and familiar with various devices used in automation.
- Experience with automation control products such as Siemens IPC, PLC, HMI, SCADA, TIA Portal, various drives, and software/hardware.
- Excellent communication skills to liaise with overseas counterparts.
